The Founder’s Story

I’ve always believed that technology should connect us, but for years I’ve felt that social media has been doing the opposite. The endless noise, manipulative algorithms, and global distractions left me disconnected from my own community. I knew there had to be a better way — a true social media alternative.

As a solo founder and developer in Halifax, I decided to stop waiting and start building. I spent the last year pouring countless hours into designing and coding Lokyll from the ground up. Lokyll is my answer to a broken system — a social media alternative that puts authentic human connection and local discovery first.
